We recently had the honour of presenting a $2000.00 donation to Diabetes Canada for their Camp Huronda D-Camps program. This is a program that assists children with diabetes to attend summer camp.
We are able to make this donation because of our work with Bingo World and the "Charitable Gaming, Community Good" (CGCG) program. The Charitable Bingo and Gaming Initiative (cGaming) has just recently achieved an incredible milestone - over 500 Million dollars raised for charitable organizations in Ontario. We are fortunate to be one of the receiving organizations that can send these funds back to our communities! Thank you Bingo World and CGCG!
A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support the Oak Ridges Lions Club's "Cases for Camp" event on May 13, 2023. The event raised over $550 for Diabetes Canada to support local children with Type 1 diabetes to attend D-Camps!
It was a great day to meet the neighbours and to share information about diabetes. Matthew and his staff at the Beer Store were fantastic. If you couldn't make it out and have empties to donate, please call the Oak Ridges Lions Club at 905-773-0090 to arrange a pick-up. The campaign will run until May 31st.

The Oak Ridges Lions would like to thank the community for the donations of gently used clothing and small household items to help us fill up the Diabetes Canada truck.
