Teddy Bear Parade
May 04, 2024
9-11:30 a.m.
Oregon City, OR
Join us for this year's Oregon City Lions Club Teddy Bear Parade on Saturday, May 4, 2024. It will start at 10:30 a.m. - a one-hour processional over a 1.10-mile route - the same route as last year, down Main Street Oregon City and into Clackamette Park. This is wonderful community service project. NEW Teddy Bears and stuffed animals that are brought by participants and unloaded at the end of the parade will be gifted to local agencies and organizations that support children in need and in crisis. They were shared last year with the Milwaukie Elks who put them into Christmas care boxes, with law enforcement agencies for comforting children in crisis, and with Bloomin' Boutique to help foster and underprivileged children. Funds collected from entry fees and sponsorships helped pay parade expenses and were put back into the community through other service projects. Lion Dale will drive his red Mustang again and Sharon has registered us as Lake Oswego Lions Club "Walk to Kick Childhood Cancer" supporting programs to help kids challenged by cancer! So, bring a teddy bear, don your Lions swag and 'Kick' tee-shirt, and join the fun! For more information visit https://oclionsclub.org/event/teddy-bear-parade/ Can't participate in the parade? You can still make a difference! Donate to Camp UCANDU or Kiwanis Doernbecher Children's Cancer Program (or both) Donations are being made directly to Camp UCANDU at https://ukandu.org and the Kiwanis Doernbecher Children's Cancer Program at https://kiwanisdoernbecher.org
