North Hill Lions Remember
Our Veterans
On November 9th, 2020, Lion Shirley Green (right) presented a cheque for $5,000
to  the Veterans Association Food Bank.  The club has been supporting the food bank annually but because of
the increased need, the club voted to add extra funds to assist in stocking the food shelves for veterans and their families.

Multiple District C Spring 2021 Convention
April 30 - May 1, 2021
Grand Prairie, AB
A decision will be made by MDC Council at the end of February, 2021 whether the Convention will be "in-person" or virtual.  If it is decided that it will be a virtual Convention, then it will take place on May 1st, 2021.
Information will appear here when that decision is known and any other details about the Convention.

Eggs, Eggs and More Eggs
On November 3rd, 2020 the first 30 dozen eggs were delivered by North Hill Lions to the BowWest Community Resource Centre.  This delivery is part of the club's Egg Project.  On the first Tuesday of each month from November 2020 to June 2021 the Resource Centre will receive 30 dozen eggs for distribution to families.  In the picture Lion Don is delivering eggs to BowWest's Executive Director Katherine Kuntz.  Eggs are rarely found in food banks and since they are a primary source of protein organizations who have a food distribution program must find other sources or resources to fund such a program.  The Calgary North Hill Lions Don, Fran and Carol pick-up, deliver, and label the eggs each month ready for distribution by the Resource Centre.  And, it is always a challenge to find room in BowWest's fridge to store the eggs until they are given out!
