Our next community HOUSEHOLD Shred Event will be on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Farmers and Merchants Bank, 1321 Liberty Road, Sykesville, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Golf Tournament
Participate in the 25th Annual Region IV Zone 3 Golf Tournament at Oakmont Green Golf Course in Hampstead, MD on Friday, May 22, 2026. $100 per golfer. Email Lion Martin Bonura at lionsbonura@gmail.com or southcarrolllions@gmail.com for more information.

Sneakers for Abby Childhood Cancer Project - The South Carroll Lioness Lions Club is collecting new/slightly used/used sneakers youth sizes (3.5Y and up) and adult sneakers & athletic shoes to raise money for children with cancer. The fund is named for a cancer survivor, Abby. Drop off available at the South Carroll Senior Center, 5928 Mineral Hill Rd, Eldersburg; Eldersburg Public Library, 6400 W Hemlock Dr, Sykesville; 5910 Dale Drive, Sykesville; 555 Washington Road, Westminster; or 1743 Deer Park Rd, Finksburg.
Wearable, still usable athletic sneakers and tennis shoes are repurposed and will find new life on the feet of children in need. Those that are at the end of their life will be broken down into parts and repurposed to create and resurface playgrounds and sport courts, or into new shoes, insulation, carpet padding, and other uses.
Please, no boots, no sandals, no flipflops & no dress shoes!
