Lions are now Doing It Quarterly!

Culvers have said Yes to Quarterly Lions Fundraisers.  This last one was on Jan 25, 2024.

(Photos to come)

Lake Sumter Lions Garage Sale

It was a very successful Lake Sumter Lions garage sale, in spite of the cold temps in the 40's.

Culver's Said YES to another Lions Fundraiser

Thanks goes to Lake Sumter Lions Annette Thomson and John Thomson who organized and led a successful fundraiser at Culver's. In spite of the rainy, yucky weather, we had a great crowd of workers and supporters (aka eaters!)

JukeBox Bingo Fundraiser

The Lake Sumter Lions JukeBox Bingo was such a fun event for all. Thanks to Lion John Hanna who led this fundraiser, as well as the many Lions who worked.  There were lots of winners at the Lake Sumter Lions JukeBox Bingo: bingo winners who each got $50 from Lion John Hanna, 50-50 drawings, lottery ticket baskets and gift card baskets.

Fundraiser at Culver's

Lake Sumter Lions held their third very successful Culver's fundraiser.  Lions were servers, delivering the meals to patrons.  They also cleaned the tables and chatted with customers (is that a surprise??!)  Congrats goes to Lions Annette and John who organized and led this event.

2023 Spring and Fall White Cane Days

Lake Sumter Lions solicited donations from the public at White Cane Days, held at various local Publix grocery stores throughout The Villages.  We are grateful to those who donate to the Lions.

Lions Pancake Breakfast @ IHOP

Next Breakfast:  April 5, 2024

Lake Sumter Lions held a Pancake Breakfast fundraiser and it was a success.  Lots of good food and fellowship while making money.  Thanks go to Lion John (aka Walter) who organized and led this very successful new fundraiser.

Upcoming 2024 Chinese Auction

2023 Lions Chinese Auction

It's been 2 years since our last Chinese Auction, so we were all looking forward to conducting it.   We had lots of fun and we made lots of funds for our community service activities. Congrats to Chairs Doris Ann Brennan and John Hanna.  We had a great crowd of over 250 people who attended our 6th Chinese Auction at the SeaBreeze Rec Center.  Attendees bought raffle tickets for over 80 gift baskets ranging in value from $50 to over $100, as well as tickets for 50/50 drawings.  Lions also served a meal of grilled hamburgers, chips, cookies and soda.

Lions ReSell-It Day

Sumter Lions held their 8th annual Re-Sell It Day on Saturday March 11.  Like the previous year, Lions held three separate garage sales located within an half mile of each other, in the village of Poinciana.  This year's ReSell-It was successful with great teamwork of Lions at all three locations.

A Second Fundraiser at Culver's

Lake Sumter Lions did it again with a Fundraiser at Culver's. It was fun, friendly, and it raised funds for the many Lions projects. Lions greeted customers at the door, helped served the food to customers, and cleaned the tables afterwards. Thanks goes to Lions Annette and John for organizing this fundraiser.

Fundraiser at Culver's

What a great evening of fundraising, fellowship and fun! Lake Sumter Lions, the Branch Club of Eastport Lions, and the On Wisconsin Club came together to sponsor a fundraiser at Culver's on Rt 466A. Culver's donated 10% of their sales from 4-8pm.  Thanks goes to Lake Sumter Lions John and Annette who organized this fundraiser.

Collecting & Recycling Aluminum Cans

Members of the Lake Sumter Lions Club are collecting aluminum cans from neighbors and friends.  Every 2-3 weeks, Lion Chuck gathers these cans and takes them to the Recycling Center in Wildwood.  Lions are performing a community recycling service and as well as making a bit of money for Club projects.
Email us if you would like to donate cans at info@lakesumterlions.org
