We also help others by recycling items which people have donated.
Old spectacles are regraded and distributed to developing countries for dispensing through Lions International sponsored eye clinics to those in orphanages, old people’s homes, and schools etc. Even broken ones are recycled and funds are ploughed into Lions International Sight Projects towards children’s eye cameras. No cases please.
Used Hearing Aids and Hearing Aid Batteries (spent or past their sell by date) are accepted for recycling – where possible the aids are refurbished and issued to deserving people.
Mobile phones are dismantled and recycled with the money raised going into Lions projects.
Postage stamps are collected for The Children’s Society
