Lions Grants

Each year the Henderson Lions Club contributes funds to multiple local projects and non-profit organizations that are active in our community. Our primary focus is sight conservation but we also participate in other projects focused on improving the health and lives of those in need in our community. 

Our fiscal year is from July 1st through June 30th. Funding requests are received, reviewed and acted upon prior to the beginning of each fiscal year. The review and action on applications takes place as part of our budget preparation and is started in April of each year. We attempt to complete budget preparation for the following year by the end of May. The deadline for receiving applications for funding is June 30th before the beginning of the fiscal year.

Funding is for one year and is subject to approval and availability of funds within that fiscal year. Approved funding is dispersed as funds become available from the club’s fund raising activities. If funding is desired in future years, new applications are required each year. The application can be found HERE, or by clicking on the image below, and needs to be completed, dated and postmarked no later than June 30th of the year of application.
