For its Centennial Project in honor of Lions International's 100th anniversary, the Granville Lions Club purchased a building for the Granville Area Food Pantry. The purchase was finalized in December 2018. The Food Pantry building will also house the Community Coat Closet as well as providing a space for community group meetings. Formal dedication of the Granville Area Food Pantry building took place on October 5, 2019.
This major project was one of many that the Granville Lions Club has contributed to the local community. In addition to major projects, the club continues to purchase eyeglasses for those in need, do vision screening in area schools, award scholarships to Granville High School graduating seniors, and support many local institutions including our library and museums.
