Since its founding in 1953, the East Windsor Lions Club has worked on projects and raised funds to prevent blindness, restore eyesight and improve eye health and eye care throughout the East Windsor community and beyond, such as, but not limited to the following:

CT Lions Eye Research Center @ Yale University

CT Lions Low Vision Centers

Eyeglasses to Those in Need

Large Print Books for E.W. Library

Public Eye Screenings

Fidelco Guide Dog Support

Collection of used eye glasses over 1000 pair each year.

The East Windsor Lions has held a Bike Ride For Sight,” which raised nearly $3,000 to help us continue our efforts to improve eyesight, help those with limited eyesight, and prevent blindness

             “The Tour de East Windsor”

                           A Bike Ride For Sight

It was a huge success and hopefully we can plan another one in the future.

The Tour de East Windsor was a non-competitive bike ride over the lightly traveled, mostly rural roads of East Windsor and Broad Brook. It was open to anyone who wanted to support the work of the Lions Club. However, riders under the age of 14 had to be accompanied by an adult rider (someone over the age of 21.)
