Lions Host Coppell Civic Organization Summit 

On January 15, 2013, the Lions Club of Coppell Hosted the first ever Summit for Civic Organizations for the purpose of assessing the ongoing needs of the Coppell community and addressing how each organization could help to provide the leadership to address those needs. The meeting was held at the Coppell Senior

On hand were 16 prominent civic organizations and seven church and education representatives. Each organization was allowed to speak briefly on various services and projects that were provided and how they might address the needs of the community. Schools and Churches provided a summary of their programs as well as presented a compendium of needs being seen through their ministries and programs. The mayor of Coppell, Karen Hunt, and several city council representatives were also on hand.
