“Where there’s a need, there’s a Leo”
Leadership, Experience, Opportunity. That’s what makes a Leo. Members of Leo clubs embody the best qualities of our incredible organization. They are devoted young people who realize the power of action. Together, Leos and Lions form a powerful partnership-one of mutual respect where Lions learn from the innovative insights of Leos, and where Leos gain access to the proven strategies of those who’ve successfully served the world for decades.
The Coppell High School Leo program has clubs at both the 9th grade center and the high school. They work along side the Coppell Lions on the annual Holiday Food and Toy Drive. They help collect and sort food and toys for over 100 families.
They also help with the annual Pancake Breakfast. They greet guests, serve, clean and flip pancakes. They also provide face painting for the young kids attending the breakfast.
The Leos are a tremendous help at both the Holiday Food and Toy Drive and the Pancake Breakfast, and they make both events much more enjoyable for the families we serve.
The Coppell Leos also develop and organize their own service projects. They send Valentine cards to residents at nursing homes. They collect used eye glasses to be refurbished and redistributed to those in need. They volunteer with the city on its Neighbors Helping Neighbors project, doing light landscaping for homeowners who need help. They identify needs in our community, and try to make a difference.
