2024 Sept. 9th - A follow up from Amy (bottom photo) ... Abby & Amy Fletcher, along with Tribute attended the Junior Handler Nationals Championships on August 31st.  Abby had a fantastic first time experience.  She was one of the youngest competitors which in itself was a huge accomplishment.  She represented our area very well and while she did not place in the top 4, she has even more dedication to improve so she can attend the Nationals in Manitoba in 2025.

2024 August 5th - (top photo) Abby Fletcher won the top Junior Handler for CKC Zone 5 in June 2024.  Abby and her Miniature American Shepherd, Tribute, will be going to the Junior Handler Nationals Championships in Summerland, BC on August 31st.  She will compete along with 11 other juniors from across Canada for a chance to represent Canada at the Largest Dog Show in the World - Crufts. Lion President Steve Tillie presented Abby (shown with her mom, Amy) with a cheque for $500.00 to help her and Tribute get to the Nationals.  GOOD LUCK, ABBY!

2024 July - Lion President Steve Tillie presented a cheque for $1000.00 to Amy Stevenson, Manager of the Ben Smith Sells Ennismore A's baseball team.  The team qualified for the National Baseball Championships which will be held in Quebec from August 13-19, 2024.  We wish them all the best luck at the Nationals.

On April 15th, 2024, the Chemung Lake District Lions were presented with a donation plaque located in the Reception area to the 2nd Cardiac Cath Lab at PRHC. Our generous donation was the jumpstart to the program to raise funds for the new Cath lab.  Dr Ball and his team along with the PRHC Foundation team are currently working on raising funds for a 3rd Cath lab.
