Social half hour (drinks for purchase) followed by a business meeting, and buffet dinner. 4 appetizers followed by dinner which includes two entrees, vegetables, bread, butter, soda, coffee, and tea for $26, including tax. Actual menu will be provided by email approximately a week and a half prior to the meeting Prompt RSVP is required.
Annual Charity Breakfast

The Brookfield Lions Club will host our annual Charity Fall Breakfast on Friday, November 22nd from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Michael’s at the Grove, 42 Vail Road in Bethel. The Breakfast, our Club's second largest fundraiser, helps support the Brookfield Lions Charities, which include Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Brookfield Social Services & Food Pantry, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and many more. The guest speaker this year is Dr. Cem Demirci, Medical Director for the Diabetes Program at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Demirci specializes in Type 1 Diabetes and he will discuss new technologies that help with the care and management of this disease, as well as the newly established Connecticut camp for children with diabetes. JDRF TypeOne Nation Summit

The summit brings together T1D experts to share their knowledge on the latest treatments, breakthroughs in research, and the psycho-social aspects of living (and thriving!) with T1D. Along with multiple breakout sessions and a vendor fair, there will be unique opportunities for children and teens to meet and spend time with each other. The event offers something for everyone: parents, children, teens, adults, grandparents, caregivers, school nurses, healthcare providers, and more. Lion Volunteers are needed for registration, greeting, daycare and introducing guest speakers. To volunteer, please contact Candy Smith.
