Our Motto - "We Serve"

38th Annual Charity Golf Outing -- August 28th, 2020

Every year the Brookfield Lions Club hosts an Annual Charity Golf Tournament and every year we have tremendous support from golfers and businesses alike.   Our Golf Tournament is our Club’s largest fundraiser and the charities that our Club supports count on the donations that you help make possible.

For our 2020 Golf Outing, we have had to make adjustments to our tournament format in order to keep everyone safe and healthy.  This year, the Brookfield Lions Club will be hosting a round of golf for $100 per golfer which will include a cart and a box lunch.   Tee times will be assigned.

If you would like to participate in this fun, end of the summer event, please click HERE and you will be transferred to a secure site where you can sign up.  Once there, you can either select the "Donate Now" button or scroll down to the event listing and select "See details".  After you have paid you will receive an email confirming your payment.  Additional details with your tee time will be emailed to you prior to August 28th.

Thank you in advance for supporting the Brookfield Lions Club!  And hopefully next year we will be able to return to our Tournament format!

33RD ANNUAL RUN FOR SIGHT

Thank you to all the 182 runners and numerous volunteers who participated in our 33rd Annual Run for Sight on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.  The proceeds of the race will go to the Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation and other locally supported charities.

Congratulations go out to John Raneri who set a new course record (he broke the record he set last year), all of our winners in the various categories, and every one of the runners who came out to support our Run for Sight.

15TH ANNUAL CHARITY FALL BREAKFAST

Thank you to all who made the Brookfield Lions Club's 15th Annual Charity Fall Breakfast, one of our Club's major fundraising events, a big success.  The Breakfast helps support the Brookfield Lions Charities, which include Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Brookfield Social Services & Food Pantry, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and many more.   The generosity of everyone who attended is greatly appreciated.  Our guest speaker, Dr. Cem Demirci, Medical Director for the Diabetes Program at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, highlighted why your support is so important, and what a difference it can make in the lives of diabetic children and their families.

Thank you again, and we hope to see everyone next year!

BROOKFIELD LIONS FOOD DRIVE

Thank you to our wonderful community and our Brookfield Lions for making our October 12th Food Drive a success!  You helped provide food for many neighbors and we are grateful for your donations.

Another Successful Charity Golf Tournament is in the Books!

A huge Thank You goes out to all of the golfers, sponsors and prize donators of our 37th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, as well as Fairview Farm Golf Course and the Brookfield Lions Club members for making this another very successful Tournament.  The day couldn’t have been better — great golf, terrific weather, fabulous food, and fun all around!  And congratulations to all of the winners — of the Tournament, of the contest holes, and of the many raffle prizes.  The ultimate winners, however, are our charity recipients.  100% of the profits from this tournament and all of the Lions fundraisers are donated to the many charities that the Brookfield Lions Club supports.

Again, thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to another successful Tournament in August 2020!

The Lions Club is the world’s largest international service organization. Members have been working tirelessly since the early part of the 20th century to help restore and improve sight and hearing to millions of people. Here in Brookfield, our members are very active in programs that increase access to eye care and hearing services for those in need.

We collect used eyeglasses, help raise guide dog puppies, and organize vision screenings. Our presence in the community is widespread - you'll find us leading youth outreach programs, organizing road races and blood drives, and championing the town's annual Memorial Day parade.

100% of funds raised by the Brookfield Lions Club are used to benefit charities and local community programs. No overhead is ever deducted. The generousity of our friends and neighbors makes these donations and other service programs possible, and we are grateful for their support.

Please explore the links on this page to learn more about our club.  Contact us to find out how to attend a local meeting or become a member. We welcome men and women who want to help their community while enjoying the fellowship of a great organization.  "We Serve" - and so can you!
