Westport Lions Club Announces 2025 Scholarship Award Recipients

The Westport Lions Club is proud to announce this year’s scholarships have been awarded to the following Westport students:

• Jaira Pauline Bernardo, is awarded The Ernest & Prudence Chadwick Scholarship.  Jaira will receive a scholarship of $2,500 per year for 4 years.  This fall, she will attend the Worcester Polytechnic Institute to pursue a career in medical device engineering;

• Emman Isabelle Hathaway is awarded The Harold Wood Scholarship. She will be attending Lesley University with the ultimate goal of pursuing a career in Art Therapy.  Emman will receive $1,500 a year for 4 years;

• Tess Silvia will receive The Rush Workman/Frank and Brooke McGuigan Memorial Scholarship of $2,500.  Tess will be attending Simmons with the goal of becoming a Physical Therapist.

WEF (Westport Educational Foundation) presented recipients their awards on Awards Night, May 29 at Westport High School.

Going forward, WEF will manage, award and distribute the above annual Lions Club Scholarships.
