Become a Member of The Virginia Beach Host Lions Club
We serve people within our community and internationally whose lives are impacted by vision and hearing problems, natural disasters, and health challenges like diabetes.
Lions Membership is by invitation.
We invite you to come meet us at a community event or our monthly meeting and enjoy a delicious lunch. The Virginia Beach Host Lions Club meets right on the beach where you can enjoy a walk in the sand or boardwalk before or after our meeting. Please contact us before you attend a meeting. We like to ensure someone is there to greet you and take care of your parking.
When: Second Tuesday of every month at 11:30 a.m.

How We Serve
- Vision Screenings for preschoolers, students, and adults
- Schools and preschools
- In 2022, we are 4th in the nation for vision screenings
- Community events supported by one or more clubs
- Pembroke Mall
- Mount Trashmore
- Health screening
- Schools and preschools
- Eye Exams and Eyeglasses
- Refer individuals for an eye exam to a license professional supporting our club
- Provide eyeglasses to those who qualify
- Virginia Lions Eyeglass Recycle Center of Southeastern Virginia

Lion Randy (757-450-6118) is director of the eyeglass recycling center and a member of The Virginia Beach Host Lions Club. We support the Eyeglass Recycling Center by:
- Collecting glasses from individuals, professionals, and businesses
- Reading lenses to document eyeglass prescription
- Preparing eyeglasses for redistribution benefitting individuals and organizations locally, nationally, and internationally
Additional Activities Fiscally Supported
Hearing aids are provided by Lions of Virginia Foundation and local clubs.
Diabetes Awareness decreases the risk of vision loss through education and Camps for youth and family.
Disaster Relief is provided by the Lions Clubs International locally, nationally, and internationally through the support of Lions.
- In 2022, our club provided $500.00 in humanitarian relief to Ukraine.

One-time membership fee to the Lions Clubs International is $35.00.
Annual club dues to join The Virginia Beach Host Lions Club
- $100.00 a year or $25.00 a quarter (every 3 months)
