FAMOUS BACON BUTTIES  We have been selling Bacon Butties on Boscawen Street, at late night shopping evenings, for almost 30 years and are always pleased to see friends, both old and new.  Some tell us they only come to Truro late night shopping,  each year so they can have one of our Bacon Butties.  Now we have a catering trailer we have added burgers, sausages and chips to our menu. We also trade on Lemon Quay, for the City of Lights Festival.

Our Trailer is also available to hire for Fund Raising Charity and Social events.  Please contact Ken Hart to discuss your requirements on 01872 272021  kenhart214@outlook.com or 0345 833 5824  trurolions@hotmail.co.uk

ANNUAL SENIOR CITIZENS PARTY  Held in January each year, when things have quietened down a bit after Christmas.  We host up to 65 senior citizens.   A first class tea is provided by our ladies with excellent entertainment by talented local choirs & musicians. Thank you, also, to St John Ambulance, who supported us on the day.

ROC WELCOME CLUB (PREVIOUSLY TRURO GATEWAY CLUB) ‚ÄčWe have worked closely with this club over the years since it was formed in 1984.  We always look forward to cooking their barbeque, each July, almost as much as the members enjoy eating the food prepared!  We also help by supplying and manning the registration tent for their ROC 5K race in June, one of their major annual fundraisers.  http://www.roc-uk.org/news/roc-welcome-club-truro-annual-bbq

CHARITY SUMMER FAIR  This event, on Lemon Quay attracts many small charities, joining us to raise much needed funds.  If your charity wishes to join us next year, with a stall, please tell our Fund Raising chairman via the "contact us" page.

ROWLANDS FUN FAIR Most years David Rowland and his staff very kindly donate their time and equipment for a Sunday morning. Lions Clubs throughout the County arrange for young people, with disabilities, who otherwise would not be able to visit a fun fair, to have enjoy themselves in a safe environment.  http://www.thisiscornwall.co.uk/Disabled-people-enjoy-free-day-funfair/story-13741325-detail/story.html

CUDDLY TOY STALLS Formerly Teddy Bears, but latterly cuddly Lions, this has been one of our best fund raisers throughout the last 45 years.  For many years the stall has been run by Colin and Hilda Powell and they have become well known at various venues in the Truro and Roseland area.

FATHER CHRISTMAS  We arrange for Father Christmas to visit Chacewater Garden Centre on the week ends leading up to Christmas.  Children look forward to visiting Santa and his Elf, in his grotto, to get a present.  Many thanks to proprietor, Duncan, who kindly provides the presents and all cash raised goes to Lions Charities.
