Truckee Lions Assist Caldor Fire Evacuees

Amy Cechin, a South Lake Tahoe evacuee from the Caldor Fire, holds an envelope with a grocery gift card given to her by the Truckee Host Lions Club. On Labor Day, the Truckee Host Lions Club gave $1,000 in grocery gift cards to South Lake Tahoe Caldor Fire evacuees before they returned back home after staying at the Red Cross Shelter at the Truckee Veterans Hall. President Lou LaManna takes a beer order from a concert-goer at the Truckee Reggae Fest held in August. Truckee Lions served beer and wine at the event to raise money for vision-related services.
