Lions International Centennial SERVICE Projects
Lions "WE SERVE"

The MOTTO of every Lion is simply "We Serve".

The Toronto Doctors Lions Club consists of many Medical professionals (Doctors and Nurses, etc..) and Professionals from various other fields (e.g., Education, Business, etc). The Club members are extremely dedicated in serving District A-711 and the larger community, throughout the world.

Through various fundraising events and projects, the Toronto Doctors Lions Club is also able to contribute to various worthy projects (e.g., Dog Guides, Walk for Life, Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada and more). In addition, Lions members also provide service in practical, non-monetary ways. They contribute their TIME & KNOWLEDGE for the benefit of others..

The following lists many of the TDLC's Service Activities and Major Projects.

  • Feeding 100 Homeless People in a Shelter on the Weekends

(3) DIABETES AWARENESS:

  • WORKSHOPS/SEMINARS on Diabetes Education & Raising Awareness of Diabetes Resources Available

(4) WALK & TALK DIABETES:

  • Those with prediabetes or diabetes can Walk and Talk Diabetes. Held Saturday mornings at 8:30 a.m.(in the Summer) and 9:30 am (in the Fall). Walk begins at Sunnybrook Park, across the horse stables. There will be yellow signs and organizers in yellow vests to help guide walkers. Look for a group wearing yellow vests.
     
  •  WALK & TALK DIABETES: Raised  $5,327 through team effort for Virtual Walk held by CHFC (Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada) on Jun 21, 2020-Dr. Sarin (Team Captain) and Frank Ansell (Co-Lead)

  • WOMEN'S CARDIAC AND CEREBOVASCULAR HEALTH. Raised $3,000 through team effort for Virtual Walk held by CHFC  (Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada) on Jun 21, 2020. Supporting the. Federation of Medical Women in Canada.
