The Tamworth & District Lions Club has been serving Stone Mills Towship since 1983.  We currently have members living throughout  Stone Mills including...Yarker, Moscow, Enterprise, Roblin, Erinsville, Marlbank, Beaver Lake, and of course Tamworth.  The Club has members who have moved away years ago and CONTINUE to be members of our Club.  This speaks to the passion and commitment they have to our Club and the community. The dedicated members come from all walks of life and varied backgrounds but all have the same passion and commitment to serving our community.

Our Club maintains the Beaver Lake Lions Park on Highway #41.  The park contains a play area, gardens, a boat launch and covered eating area.  The public is welcome to use the park anytime!  As a reminder, there are no garbage disposal bins at the park.  Please bring anything home with you that you bring to the park.  Help us to keep our park beautiful.

in 2021/2022 we were pleased to have our grant application to L & A Activation Fund approved.  All funds received through the grant were used to do a major overhaul of the signs, walkway, benches, and viewing are of Beaver Lake Lions Park.  It also allowed us to purchase a swim raft which receives a tremendous amount of use in the summer!

The Club has established several annual fundraising events, which the community strongly supports.  The annual Santas Store, Kids Fishing Day, Bottle & Can collection, and  Yard Sales  raise funds for the Club, which in turn are donated back to the local community.  In 2025 our Club will resume our annual Fish Fry and Corn Roast with music by Land O'Lakes Cruisers.

Other community service / events the Club participates in:

- collection of eyeglasses and hearing aids for re:distribution to those in need

-lending of medical equipment

-annual Christmas food baskets for local residents

-maintenance of the Beaver Lake Lions Park, dock and swim raft

-annual upkeep of the Tamworth soccer field

- Kids Fishing Day
