Our club donated $7,000 to the St. Joseph Fire Department to use toward the purchase of new Christmas lights to beautify the holiday season.

St. Joseph Lions Fund Onil Stoves for Guatemalan Families

Lion Doug Carlson and Dr. Gary Boeke gave a presentation on their travels to Guatemala to a joint meeting of the St. Joseph Lions and Y2K Lions on November 20. Lion Doug and Dr. Boeke install special onil stoves for needy families in Guatemala during their travels. The Lions voted to donate $4,000 to fund the special stoves.

Peace Poster Contest

Our club received many colorful and artistic peace poster entries this year created by students at North Jr. High School in St. Cloud. Entries were judged at the November 6 meeting and the top three winners advanced to district competition. Click here to view a sampling of the entries.

St. Joseph Lions Donate to Eagle Scout Project

Scout Brandon Zimmer from St. Joseph Boy Scout Troop 84 spoke about his Eagle Scout project at our August 7 meeting. The group donated $500 toward his project of building a pergola/gazebo at Kennedy School.

Our New Lions Building at Millstream Park

The St. Joseph Lions Club held an open house at the new Millstream Park Shelter on November 27, 2017. The club contributed $40,000 toward the construction of the new building.

Can Do Canines Presentation at January Meeting

St. Joseph resident Meg Schneider and her mother Joanne gave a presentation at the January 19 Lions meeting along with Meg's new Can Do Canine "Quest." Meg recently received the dog to assist her with daily tasks.

Our Club Celebrates 50th Anniversary!

The St. Joseph Lions Club celebrated its 50th anniversary with a dinner and program on May 2, 2014 at the El Paso Club in St. Joseph. Lion Jim Kuebelbeck was honored as a charter member of our club. Click here to view additional photos from the event.

Past District Governor Lion Jim Meyer emceed the event. St. Joseph Mayor Lion Rick Schultz issued a congratulatory proclamation on behalf of the city of St. Joseph. Following a delicious chicken dinner, District Governor Donna Landwehr gave an address and International Director Mike Molenda was guest speaker. Lion Fran Court conducted the awards presentation and Lion Jim Kuebelbeck was recognized as a charter member of our club. Since its inception in 1964, our club has donated over $951,000 to worthy causes.

St. Joseph Lions Club President Greg Kacures is pictured with a plaque presented at the District 5M-8 Lions convention in Hinckley, Minnesota. The plaque is in recognition for making the largest contribution in the District to the Leader Dog for the Blind program during 2012. District 5M8 consists of 76 Lions clubs.

Congratulations to Lions Award Winners

The St. Joseph Lions and Y2K Lions award banquet took place on November 15 at the El Paso Club. District Governor Sandy Sandwick joined Lion Presidents Elmer Rakotz and Ann Reischl and Secretaries Donna Hoskins and JoDel Johnson in presenting numerous awards.

Parade Signs Under Construction by Lions Crew

Lions Club members constructed 172 signs to be used at the upcoming 4th of July parade.

St. Joseph Lions Adopt-a-Highway Crew

St. Joseph Lions Club members picked up trash along Highway 75 from Millstream Park to TireMaxx before their regular meeting on May 3. This community service project is done in the spring and fall to beautify the St. Joseph area.

LCIF Donations Exceed $6 Million for Relief Effort in Japan

Lions Clubs International Foundation has received donations or commitments exceeding US$6 million for relief efforts in Japan.

Lions Donate Over $158,000 at District Convention!

District Lions clubs gathered at the Kelly Inn in St. Cloud the weekend of February 4 - 6 for the Mid-Winter District Convention. A total of $158,801 was donated to Lions causes including eye bank, diabetes, and Leader Dog training. Seven members from our club attended the convention.

St. Joseph Lions Donate AED Units to Churches

The St. Joseph Lions recently donated two AED units to area churches. One unit was given to St. Joseph Catholic Church and the other unit was donated to Resurrection Lutheran Church.

Dial-a-Ride Sponsored by St. Joseph Lions

Tri-CAP is providing a dial-a-ride bus service to St. Joseph residents through a collaboration of the St. Joseph City Council, St. Joseph Lions Club and the St. Benedict Monastery.

Millstream Park Shelter Roof Complete!

The St. Joseph Lions Club was sponsored by the Albany Lions Club on February 25, 1964. Since then, the club has a proud history of serving local, regional and international needs with club contributions exceeding $1.2 million!

We meet at 7 pm on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Click Calendar in the left sidebar for a schedule of the upcoming meetings and other events.

During the summer, our meetings are held at the Millstream Park in St. Joseph. In the colder months, our meetings take place at area restaurants or clubs.
