Run a new community project where you see an opportunity to do something for your own community.

Because Lions Clubs are an incorporated body clubs and can apply for Government and community grants stretching a much further reach with funding for community projects.

With the support of Latitude One Management to hold daytime meetings in the community centre.

 The Soilders Point Lions Club will host an information meeting and morning tea on:

Monday 19Th August 2024 10Am in the Library

 For Latitude One residents who may be interested in supporting current and additional service projects both within Lattitude One and in the wider community of Nelson’s Bay Area.

What’s in it for me?  …… oh yes there is a real pot of gold when we help other people either as a group or individual in personal satisfaction, a sense of self worth and wellbeing and much much more.

Many residents of Latitude One enjoy this wonderful community and even more so when they contribute to the various activities.

 

Soilders Point Lions Club is a service club servicing the needs of the Nelson Bay reign community since June 1978.

While being a member club of Lions International with 1.35 M members worldwide and   49,000 clubs providing natural disaster relief in Australia and worldwide providing financial assistance to medical research, training and providing hearing dogs to the hearing impaired and the administration for Australia is in Newcastle

 

While local club members have been helping by volunteering at local meals on wheels, supporting The Yacaaba Center with food hampers, donation to the KoalaHospital $1000.00.

Ongoing local projects of the Club have been sponsoring a student scholarship through the Harding Milling Foundation For the last 4 years to enable a disadvantaged year 9 student to achieve a strong start to a great education.
