Meetings

2019/2020 Officers and Directors- Sayreville Lions Club

Our regular meetings resumed on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.  Happy to see everyone back and ready to work.   Our International President this year is Jung-Yul Choi of Korea. Former President Jimmy Carter, who is a Lion, has nominated Lions for the Nobel Peace Prize. Lions also recently received a grant from the Global Health and Education Foundation for our SightFirst II campaign and Financial Times named Lions the #1 global NGO (nongovernmental organization).

The Sayreville Lions Club has received a Certificate of Achievement for our support of youth in the community. Programs include the High School awards and scholarship, the Peace Poster Contest and support of the Girl Scouts who assist at our pancake breakfasts.

We have been renovating our roadside billboard signs in the Borough to let people know we are active in the community.  The sign at the Veterans Bridge from So. River is shared with other clubs and organzations in town.  We now have a presence at all the main entries to Sayreville. We are planning to include our website address on our roadside signs so residents and visitors to Sayreville can know there is a Lions Club in the community, what we are doing, and how to contact us. Our website address is: http://www.e-clubhouse.org/sites/sayrevillenj. Our e-mail address is:  sayrevillelionsclub@gmail.com.  You can also visit us on Facebook @ Sayreville Lions Club.

Those interested in joining our club can indicate their interest on-line at:

http://lionsclubs.org/EN/becoming-a-lion/how-to-become-a-member/prospective-members-form.php or by contacting us directly by e-mail or at our "Contact Us" telephone or mail address.

We have also chartered a Leo Club in the Sayreville schools to provide service opportunities to its students.  Interest in this project has been running high and has good support from the superintendent and teachers.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
