Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August by National Flag hoisting at our Lions Health Centre and sweets were distributed to the children and residents in that locality.

Under “Feed The Hungry Programme” – Lunch was personally served by Lion Members to 60 inmates of Manav Mandir – A home for destitute, disabled and old age people, after flag hoisting there. The lunch was sponsored by Lion Vijay Goel.

Club Installation of President Lion Archana Agrawal and B.O.D.  was done by PID Lion Sushil Agrawal where City Commissioner Dr. Neeraj Shukla was Chief Guest. On this occasion, following service activities were done:

Under ‘Reading Action Programme,  the Club has established Education Foundation with corpus fund of Rs 200,000/-. From this Foundation, scholarship (@ Rs 4,000/-  for first six months period) were given to each of the 2 poor students, to take care of their school fee and subsistence  etc. This scholarship will be given on regular basis at every six months interval till they obtain graduate or technical degree.

Dengu Awareness and Prevention Campaign was organized during 3rd and 4th week of Oct 2013 in association with other Lions Clubs and Lioness Clubs in the town. Around 30,000 pamphlets were distributed in the community with the help of staff of State Health Department and Municipal Corporation. Our members personally went to 63 Schools to impart information  to School staff and students and trained them to disseminate information  in their communities.

5.

Blood Donation Camp was organized on 31st Oct 2013 at Asha Modern School, Saharanpur in association with other Lions Clubs and Lioness Clubs in the town. The van and team of Lions Blood Bank, Delhi arranged blood collection. Fruits, biscuits and medicines for recovery of blood  were given to all donors. Each donor was given donor card on the spot and detailed blood test report later. Total 104 units of blood were donated in this camp.
