The club was formed in 1965, and over the years has developed in the 1970’s the Cwmbran Lions Club was merged into the Newport Lions Club.  In the noughties, the club changed its name to Newport and Usk Vale Lions Club.

The club covers a huge geographic area in South East Wales, it covers the following city and towns

• Cwmbran

• Pontypool

• Caerleon

• Usk

• City and County of Newport

• We have villages within Torfaen, Monmouthshire and Caerphilly Borough

We support international, national, regional and local charities in their work, through financial help and also by providing volunteers to run different aspects of fundraising activities.
