Our annual Christmas Tree pickup is Saturday January 6, 2024. 

Other Projects

• Nelson Lions club hosts an annual July 1st Pancake Breakfast on Baker St. (held for more than 50 consecutive  years).
• In partnership with the city of Nelson the club builds and maintains Nelson Uphill Lions Park and Lions Point Garden on the lakeside Centennial Walkway.
• On a volunteer basis, with the help of the local community, club members establish and maintain an outdoor skating rink each winter at Lions Park.
• Special event catering, (Pancake breakfasts, burgers etc.).
• We aquire, cut and split one logging truck load of fire wood each fall for our annual firewood sale fundraiser. 
• We have rental Casino Equipment, Tables, Chairs, Grills or Chuckwagon. Customers may choose to have the club staff the equipment at an extra charge.
• We collect used eye glasses at all optometrists offices in Nelson. The  used eye glasses are re-furbished and sent to undeveloped countries around the globe.
• Contribute to Lions International for financial help to countries throughout the world suffering from man-made or natural disasters.
