Lion Mike Keating has been chairing the plastic recycling project. We have 5  containers to collect the plastic. We started this project  with the "TREX corp."on Earth Day April 22, 2021, to collect 500lbs in 6 months. We received a TREX Bench after collecting 500lb. The Monadnock Lions Club was awarded our 4th new bench in January from the Trex corporation. We have partnered with the Marlborough Community House and they have received 2 benches to date. The next cycle will start on Earth Day April 22, 2023, but we are continuing to collect.  Containers are located at the Recycling Transfer Center, Mother’s Hardware, the Frost Free Library, Marlborough Community House and the Federated Church.
