Annual Lions Bemis-Dumont Roast Beef supper

First Satuday in March

5pm-6:30pm

Our annual Bemis/Dumont Roast Beef Supper is held the first Saturday of March at the Marlborough Community House. 5:00pm - 6:30pm, Tickets are $15 for Adult and $8 from children.  This supper will benifit the MarlHarris Emergency Medical service..

 

Recycling

Lion Mike Keating has been chairing the plastic recycling project. We have 6  containers to collect the plastic. We started this project  with the "TREX corp."on Earth Day April 22, 2021, to collect 500lbs in 6 months. We received a TREX Bench after collecting 500lb. The Monadnock Lions Club was awarded our 4th new bench in January from the Trex corporation. We have partnered with the Marlborough Community House and they have received 2 benches to date. The next cycle will start on October, 2024.  Containers are located at the Recycling Transfer Center, Mother’s Hardware, the Frost Free Library, Marlborough Community House, Homestead Thrift Shop and the Federated Church.

Recycling Glasses and Hearing Aids

The Monadnock LIons club recycles Glasses and Hearing aid. These glasses as cleaned checked and recycled to people who need them. Drop off locations ar the Marlborough Post office, Marlborough Community House, and the Frost Free Library. You can also contact any Lion's member.

 

Vision Screening

The Monadnock Lions Club does School Children vision screening for the four town we seerve. Dublin, Harrisville, Marlborough and Roxbury. This valuabe service detects vision problems that can be corrected. This helps eliminate many learning problems.

 

Christmas Tree Sales

In November/December we sell Christmas trees at the Homestead Thrift shop. Our sales support our Community Charity Fund.
