Time is approaching for the Lions Club of Mobile Tunnel Vision 5K Run to be held on Satruday, May 2, 2020. There is a new location for the finish line of this years race. The race will now finsh at Serda's Brewing Co. That's right, you now must run through the Bank Head Tunnel twice--Double Tunnel Vision 5K. By moving the finish line to Serda's Brewing Co we have eleminated the need to ride a bus back to your vehicle after the race.

Listed below are the specifics of the event.

Time:  

5K Run/walk will start at 8 AM.  

Distance: Newly certified 5K course – starts on Canal Street and finishes at Serda’s Brewing Co. on Government Street. 

Location:  Packet pick-up and race day registration near the intersection of Munroe and Canal Streets.  The race will start on Canal Street between Scott and Bayou Streets and finish at Serda’s Brewing Co. Between the start and finish, participants will run down Government St, through the Bankhead Tunnel, circle around the tunnel entrance, and back through the tunnel to run up Government to finish at Serda’s Brewing. 

Registration:   Pre-register by mail (entries should be postmarked by April 25, 2020), walk-in at McCoy Outdoor,  Run-N-Tri, or Fleet Feet in Mobile or Running Wild in Fairhope until noon on April 30, or online (http://lionsclubtunnelvision5k2020.eventbrite.com) until 4 AM May 1.  Early packet pick-up and late registration will take place at the Port City Pacers office on Friday, May 1 from noon – 5:30 PM.  Race day registration and packet pick-up near the intersection of Munroe and Canal Streets from 6:15 – 7:45 AM.

Shirts: Participants registered by April 25 will be guaranteed a tee shirt in the size requested.  After April 25, tee shirts can not be guaranteed.

Awards:  Top male and female Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, and Senior Grandmasters. Top three Male and female in age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75+

 Post-Race Party:     Food, beverages, awards presentation and music at Serda’s Brewing Co. all included with the race registration fees.

We are the 2nd oldest Lions Club in Alabama and the oldest Lions Club along the Greater Gulf Coast. We are part of Lions Club International which is the largest service club organization in the world, founded by Melvin Jones almost 100 years ago.

     Our many worthwhile projects are the Lions/USA Eye Research Institute, Alabama Lions Sight Conservation Association, Tunnel Vision 5K Run, Lions East-West All-Star Baseball Game, Camp Sugar Falls/Camp Seale Harris, Lions/Boys and Girls Clubs of South Alabama Eye Examinations, and a Wine Tasting Event.
