At the June 3rd meeting, two Birch-Sturm Fellowships were awarded by DG Dave Holschbach to John Sisel, and Earlene Samz, of the Manitowoc/Two Rivers Lions Club.

At the August 5th meeting, Lion President Paul Schmid of the Manitowoc/Two Rivers Lions club, presented Lion Shan Bergeon a 30-year service award and chevron as a Lion member.

Fifteen Manitowoc/Two Rivers Lions Club members and three members from the Brillion Lions Club toured the Wisconsin Lions Eye Bank July 2nd. All were highly impressed with the facility and staff.

The Manitowoc/Two Rivers club members transport eye tissue from local hospitals to the Lions Eye Bank in Madison. At the facility, they undergo testing and preparation for eventual transplant.
