The Manassas Host Lions Club was chartered on June 18, 1947.  We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday monthly except in July, August (vacations), November & December (holidays) when we only meet on the second Wednesday at Logan's Roadhouse in Manassas, Virginia.

Member Obligations

•    Pay quarterly dues of $40. They cover international and state dues, a subscription to the Lions magazine.  Meals are paid by each member at the restaurant.

•    Take part in fundraising activities

•    Be active on one or more service committees

•    Attend Regional/State meetings when possible

Fundraisers:

•    10K Raffle

•    White Cane Days

•    Two Groundhog Food Drives - The Saturday before Super Bowl and another in September at the Wellington Giant

Service Activities:

• Provide eye exams, glasses, eye operations  and special vision equipment
• Assist public schools with required vision and hearing screenings each Fall
• Hearing screenings
• Collect used eyeglasses
• Provide hearing exams, operations and hearing aids
• Support Bland Music Competition
• Johnny Downs Scholarship award
• Financial needs scholarship
• Road cleanup (Adopt-a-highway)
• Support for local causes
• Support the Lions Project for Canine Companions
• Bingo at BVirmingham Green & Willow Oaks for the residents
• Christmas Holiday Party
