Your Killingworth Lions locally collect, sort and then deliver eyeglasses and sunglasses (for cataract surgery patients) to a regional facility in NJ which serves CT and neighboring states. The facility is the New Jersey Lions Eyeglass Recycling Facility (NJLERF) on the campus of the Katzenbach School for the Deaf in West Trenton. Glasses are cleaned, categorized and packaged for use on missions throughout the planet in underdeveloped and developing countries.

Killingworth Lion Eyeglass Collection Boxes can be found at:

Town Hall / Library / HKIMS / Beechwood Clubhouse / Killingworth Family Pharmacy / Congregational Church Hall / Killingworth Tru Value Hardware / Post Office

Or...Hand glasses off to ANY Killingworth Lion and we'll see they get recycled.

The current Eyeglass Collection Chairperson is Killingworth Lion Sean O'Leary. He can be reached at 203-671-7373 if you have a question, see that a box is nearly overflowing or if you need glasses picked up in the Killingworth area.
