"Who we are"

Lions Clubs International Foundation ...

Founded in 1917, Lions Clubs International has grown into one of the world’s largest service organizations, with 1.4 million members in more than 200 countries. Guided by the simple motto “We Serve,” Lions volunteer to meet community needs—supporting vision care, fighting hunger, helping youth, and responding to disasters.

In HawaiĘ»i and around the world, Lions are often among the first to step up, turning compassion into action. Supported by their global foundation, they expand their impact and bring hope to millions. At its core, Lions is about people—neighbors helping neighbors and building stronger communities every day.

"Kindness matters to Lions"

Our motto is “We Serve” and Lions put it into action every day. We’re caring men and women who come together to be the difference in our communities. We believe we can do so much more together than we can alone.

"Our Core Values"

We believe diversity is a source of strength. By fostering understanding, respecting our differences, and embracing each person’s unique talents and experiences, we become better equipped to serve our communities. When everyone is included, our impact grows—because together, we achieve more.

Rooted in Hawaiian values, we are guided by "ALOHA" (compassion and love), "KULEANA" (responsibility), "LAULIMA" (cooperation), and "MALAMA" (to care for and protect). These principles deepen our commitment to serving others with respect, unity, and a spirit of giving.

Our core values guide our mission, bring our members together, and elevate the work we do. They define who we are and reflect the commitment we share with the world.
