History of the Honolulu Aloha Pono Lions Club

Chartered on May 19, 2000, Aloha Pono Lions Club was originally known as the Honolulu Lioness Club. Due to an International drive to convert Lioness Clubs to Lions, the Aloha Pono Lions Club was born. The club's locale now encompasses the entire island of Oahu and all neighbor islands. The words Aloha Pono, which means "Love and Righteousness", were incorporated into the name of the club. Its members believe it exemplifies the spirit of the organization; that is, one can express love and caring and make things right through acts of community service.
