Club History

Chartered on May 19, 2000, the Aloha Pono Lions Club evolved from the former Honolulu Lioness Club, whose members were dedicated to serving communities across Oʻahu, Maui, Hawaii Island and the continental United States.

Following Lions Clubs International’s initiative to transition Lioness Clubs into Lions Clubs, members embraced the opportunity to expand their service, establishing a new chapter of leadership and inclusion within District 50 Hawaiʻi.

Guided by the values of “Aloha” (love) and “Pono” (righteousness), the club continues to serve through vision and hearing screenings, environmental efforts, food distribution, and support for organizations such as Prevent Child Abuse Hawaiʻi.
