A SALUTE TO OUR LEGACY LIONS
The Flatonia Lions Club has proudly served its community since 1980. While we focus our attention and energies toward the current and pending service tasks, it is appropriate that the initiative and leadership of our Legacy Lions be recognized. To that end, we salute the original 1980 Flatonia Lions Club.
The Flatonia Lions Club was chartered by Lions Club International on September 29, 1980. The Club met monthly at the former Grumpy’s Restaurant, located at FM 609/ I10E. The Club’s initial fund raising event involved the sale of barbecue sandwiches during “Czhilispiel”. The success and organization strength exhibited by today’s Flatonia Lions Club is directly attributable to the guidance provided by these Legacy Lions.
