Fairfield Glade Lions - Students of the Month 2024
Students are selected to participate in the Lions program because of good grades and involvement in school and other activities during their four years in high school. Students receive recognition at the Fairfield Glade Lions Dinner meeting in April 2025 with all “Students of the Month”. The students are introduced and receive a special plaque with their name and special month printed on it.

Congratulate Hayden Houston a senior at Stone Memorial High School as our September 2024 Student of the Month. Houston was selected by his school counselor Kim Vashaw to take part in the Fairfield Glade Lions monthly program. Lions Club Co-Chairs Bill and Mary Green named Hayden “Student of the Month” along with his sponsor Sherry Stanley, in memory of Lion William Stanley.
Hayden is Vice President of the Senior Class, and a member of the Student Council. He is a member of the Beta Club and the Conservation Science Club. Hayden is a varsity team tennis player. He works part-time at McAlister’s Deli. Hayden is active in his church serving on the media team and kitchen team. Hayden enjoys playing video games.
Hayden plans to attend a four-year university and major in Computer Science. After college, in addition to working he would like to follow his passion and develop video games. Hayden is an example of a student who has taken advantage of getting involved in school activities during his four years in high school.
Sherry Stanley and the entire membership of the Fairfield Glade Lions Club wishes him success in his future goals.

Congratulate Zachary Sapp a senior at Cumberland County High School as our August 2024 Student of the Month.
Sapp was selected by his school counselor Megan Sherfield to take part in the Fairfield Glade Lions monthly program. Lions Club Co-Chairs Bill and Mary Green named Zachary “Student of the Month” along with her Corporate Partner, York & Sons Quarries, Inc.
Zach participates in a number of school activities including field commander of the Jet Pride Marching Band, member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Trivia Club, bassist in CCHS vocal music, and actor in CCHS theater.
Zach’s community involvement and hobbies include directing the Cumberland County Chamber Ensemble, writing music, performing tuba and euphonium, and reading books.
Zach plans to attend college for music education, performance and conducting, and going on to perform internationally in instrumental music. Zach is a notable example of a student who has taken advantage of getting involved in school activities during his four years in high school. York & Sons Quarries, Inc. and the entire membership of the Fairfield Lions Club wish him great success in his future goals.
