We Serve

The Cumberland Lions is a service club directly connected to the wider world of Lions Clubs through Lions Clubs International. Our motto is ‘’We Serve’’ and this is the underlying principle of our association.

As a service club, we are a voluntary nonprofit organization. Our members meet regularly and look to give back to our community by raising funds for other organizations or volunteering our time.  We seek to serve where the need is the greatest and hold fundraising events throughout the year in order to support the community.

Thanks to those who come out to support our events, and the time and effort of our members and many volunteers, we have supported the following important charities, causes, or initatives in our community.

54th Annual MapleFest

The proceeds were split between the Community Compassion Centre Food Bank in Orleans and the centre d’accueil Roger Séguin nursing home in Clarence Creek.

On Saturday, May 24th, members of the Cumberland Lions Club proudly presented the cheque to the Community Compassion Centre Food Bank in Orléans, the donation made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of our community during our 54th Annual Maplefest this past April.

The funds will support the Centre’s essential programs that provide food and compassionate care to families in need throughout our region.

As more families face food insecurity, the Community Compassion Centre in Orléans plays a critical role in offering hope, dignity, and practical support to those who need it most.
