In Alpha Leo Clubs, youth ages 12 to 18 focus on individual and social development, leadership skills and community service. Alpha Leo clubs participate in local Lions Club public service activities as well as initiate their own youth service activities such as international Leo projects and local community service projects to improve the lives of children and youth.
Spotlight on Children projects give Leos the opportunity to enrich the lives of children by:
- Collecting food and clothes for local needy children
- Repairing playgrounds
- Implementing after-school tutoring programs
- Visiting children in hospitals
- Raising funds for immunization programs
- Assisting in the Cornwall Lions Fall Harvest Run and other projects and events
