SAIL FOR SIGHT!

The Lions Clubs of Zone 3A  participated in the "Sail For Sight" project, spearheaded by the Barbados Yacht Club and The Barbados Sailing Association.

The aim of this project was to raise funds for equipment for the Lions Eyecare Center  at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

This idea originated with Mr. Bill Tempro, a world champion sailor, in the GP14 class, and a member of the Barbados Yacht Club.  Bill, who is visually-impaired, sailed around Barbados on October 13, 2019. This effort raised BDS $228,155.44
