Bemidji First City Lions Club Partners with Thrivent for Blanket Project
A Thrivent Action Team grant of $250 will enable the club to
purchase materials to create fleece blankets for Bemidji Area
Schools Families in Transition Program and for children at the
Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo, ND.
Two of the Lions International Pillars of Service include Youth
and Pediatric Cancer, so this grant is a perfect fit for our Lions
club to serve our communities’ youth.
Lions want to provide service as well as build friendships in the
community. If you are interested in participating in the project,
please join us at the 2nd “Blanket Bee” on Saturday, January 29,
9:30-11:30 at the Bemidji Eagles Club. Coffee will
be provided.
First "Blanket Bee" was held Jan. 8, 2022
Members created 4 fleece blankets to be donated to children suffering from cancer.
