A CUB celebrates 2nd birthday in an Orphanage with Baggao Lions and Fellow Cubs
The Baggao Lions and their cubs joined the 2nd birthday party celebration of one of their fellow cub (Sanjz Alejandro) in an orphanage last Jan 29. Jollibee and Twirlie were around to give joy to the orphans. The cubs got a chance to socialize with the orphans during parlor games and many prizes were given away. Multivitamins, toys, school supplies, milk, shoes, cereals, etc were donated to them.
It was such a great opportunity and experience for the Lions and their cubs to mingle with the underpriviledged. The cubs realized that they are much blessed and that they learned that sharing some of their blessings made them feel better.
(NOTE: closer pictures of the orphans were not allowed to be posted to safeguard their identity)
BLC PARTTICIPATES WITH THE GIFT -GIVING TO KIDS OF TABBUAN MOCAG
BLC went to Tabbuan Mocag, a very farflung/remote place in Baggao where most residents are indigents last Dec 31, 2011. They were being invited by the family of Lion Albert Barcena, to join them as they share some of their blessings to the kids of Tabbuan, Mocag Baggao. It is already their family's 3rd year (since 2009) of celebrating the end of a year and welcoming another year inviting all the kids in their area with giving of some give aways, playing parlor games with them, and later offer food and eat with them.
The Baggao Lions then rushed to prepare some give aways to make the kids happy. Their Lion Cubs were tasked to do the preparation of the loot bags consisting of some foods, toys as well as vitamins. Some giveaways for raffle and special prizes were also prepared. Calendars as well as old clothes were also prepared for
the parents in Tabbuan who will be assisting their kids.
The Baggao Lions brought with them their kids to help in the distribution of give aways, to participate in the games and to let them play with the kids of Tabbuan.
It was indeed another activity of gift giving by the BLC. Our thanks to the Barcena Family for giving us a chance to join them as they share some of their blessings to their needy neighbors.
The activity apparently continued until the start of another year.

Their President has made a remark that He will be looking forward for a joint service activity with the Baggao Lions.
PRESCHOOL CLINIC VISIT
Lion couples Vilma Alejandro and Danilo Alejandro, a pediatrician and an internist respectively, has been welcoming preschool children from different schools for almost 5 years now, for their community exposure and visitation to a medical clinic. They would willingly accept them, orient them on what is expected as one
patient enters a clinic, present to them the different apparatuses and its uses, and introduce into them the different community helpers expected to be seen inside medical clinic.
The Lion couples would give special toys as prizes if somebody answers some simple questions correctly. A simple lootbag, prepared earlier, containing vitamins, sweets, biscuits, baby books, pens stickers etc is distributed to the preschoolers as they leave the clinic.
