Aware of the reality that the Baggaoenos are not really observing Valentines day, the Baggao Lions decided and agreed to sell flowers and let the Baggaoenos realize that flowers is indeed one of the best expressions of love, friendship and gratitude.

BLC Serenades Houses as they sing CHRISTMAS CAROLS

(DECEMBER 17 AND 26, 2011)

The Baggao Lions Club went out for 2 days (8 houses in Tallang Baggao and 11 houses in San Jose Baggao) and walked in the streets to give joy and serenade families this holiday season. Collected contributions/donations will definitely help in their various projects for the coming year: medical/surgical and dental missions; info drives on road safety and preventive health; calamity and relief operations; mobile diabetes screening; sight preservation; environmental protection; youth involvement in socio-civic activities and many more.

BLC HOLDS HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARTY TO RAISE FUNDS

The Baggao Lions came up with an idea to hold a Halloween Costume Party for kids as well as their accompanying guardians inorder to raise funds which will be

used in the upcoming target activities of November like Medical mission and Strides Walk for Diabetes Awareness.

This first Fundraising Activity of BLC was a tremendous success in which the registration committee needed to close upon reaching their target of 200 participants all in all, to avoid

shortage of snacks being prepared.

All the participants arrived at the registration area on time, donned with different costumes. They started the party with a parade around San Jose Baggao, followed by introduction of the participants upon entry to the hall.

Many games being prepared with lots of prizes and surprises. The Lions and other guardians participated in some parlor games too. Each member was given his own assignment (including the judging of special awards - their cubs not included tho).

All the participants went home happy and satisfied requesting the BLC to organize the same event next year.
