Our Past International Officers

The Arima Lions Club is proud to be the home club of two International Officers:

Lion NICOLIN CAROL MOORE 

International Director Nicolin Carol Moore 2016 - 2018 

Lion Nicolin joined the organization as a lioness in 1980 and became a lion in 1992. She has held several positions on District and Multiple District Committees as well as positions on District Cabinets including Zone and Region Chair, Cabinet Secretary-Treasurer and Vice-Governor. During the fiscal year 2010-2011 she served as 60A District Governor and in 2011-2012 she served as MD60 Council Chairperson.

Over the years she has been a very active lion, attending numerous Zone, Region and Cabinet meetings as well as Mid-Year Conferences and more than twenty MD conventions. For several of these meetings she served on the planning committees, often as coordinator for workshops. She has been at the forefront of Leadership Development initiatives, planning and conducting workshops on a variety of topics and conducting club retreats. She has facilitated District-Governors-Elect seminars as well as Regional Leadership Institutes. In furthering her own development she has completed both Regional and Senior International Leadership Institutes and attended two USA-Canada forums in Tampa and Kansas City respectively.

Lion Nicolin has attended eight International Conventions starting with San Francisco in 1984 and as recently as Fukouka, Japan in 2016 where she was installed to the board of directors. In March this year she was among several lions from our district at the Lions Day with the United Nations event in New York.  

Her contribution has been recognized and she has been the recipient of various awards, including her first MJF by her (then) home club as part sixteen  District Governor  Awards, 6 International President Awards of Campaign Sight First.  She has also received Certificates of Appreciation for service to clubs and  seven Council Chair Appreciation Awards,and six , 6 International President Awards

Our Past International Officer!

Lion Colette Patrick Michael John served as District Governor for Sub-District 60A for the fiscal year 1992~1993 and Council Chairman of Multiple District 60 in 1993~1994. 

 

Lion COLETTE JOHN

Lion Colette joined lionism in 1971 as a member of the Lions Club of Arima and served on all positions of the board over the years. He was the first District Governor to choose a female lion to serve as his Cabinet Secretary/Treasurer in the person of Lion Barbara Boopsingh and in honour of his election to high office, his home club bestowed Lion Colette with its first Melvin Jones Fellowship.

His theme during his year in office was:

"Building Character, Happiness, Amity and Patriotism Through Useful Service"

During his year as Council Chairman, he also served as Club President.
