The Alto Lions Club was chartered in 1975. Since then we have donated over $150,000 to various projects and organizations. All the money we raise is used for service.
These are some of the activities and charities the Alto Lions Club has supported:
- Charter organization and supporter of the Lowell Cub Scout Pack.
- Supporter of the annual Flat River Outreach Food Fight
- Sponsor of the Alto Christmas Party, with the help of generous benefactors.
- Paws With a Cause - Assistance to an organization training assistance dogs.
- Leader Dog - canine assistance for the visually impaired.
- Flat River Outreach Ministries - Continuing support throughout the year.
- Scholarships - The Lions endow two scholarships to assist promising Lowell high school students with college expenses.
- Vision testing with Project KidSight.
- Opportunities Unlimited for the Blind - Organization that offers visually impaired people the chance to learn skills and have experiences that everyone else has.
