Meetings

The Alto Lions Club was chartered in 1975.  Since then we have donated over $150,000 to various projects and organizations.  Eighty-six percent of the money we raise is used locally.  The remaining fourteen percent is donated to state and national needs.. All the money we raise is used for service.

These are some of the activities and charities the Alto Lions Club has  supported:

  • Charter organization and supporter of the Lowell Cub Scout Pack.
  • Supporter of the annual Flat River Outreach Food Fight
  • Sponsor of the Alto Christmas Party, with the help of generous benefactors.
  • Paws With a Cause - Assistance to an organization training assistance dogs.
  • Leader Dog - canine assistance for the visually impaired.
  • Flat River Outreach Ministries - Continuing support throughout the year.
  • Scholarships - The Lions endow two scholarships to assist promising Lowell high school students with college expenses.
  • Vision testing with Project KidSight.
  • Opportunities Unlimited for the Blind - Organization that offers visually impaired people the chance to learn skills and have experiences that everyone else has.
