Here is an update from the town fair, the golf classic and the Installation of the new President.

Acton Lions Town Fair 2026 was another great Service & Success!

And thank you to our many guests! Fiesta Shows, the town of Acton and all of our supporters!

Thank you to the many volunteers who made the fair possible, including these team leads: (and if I missed you please let me know)

•Lion Steve R — for planning, preparation, food, drinks, supplies, and more over five to six days.

•Lion Darren — for leading and assisting Steve with his many tasks.

•Lion Bryan F — for planning, preparation, and heavy lifting with his support team.

•Lion Bill M — for his planning and team organizing

•Lion Brian L — for providing the tent, tables, chairs, and other essential items.

•Lions Peter & Blake — for managing the parking control.

•Lion Tom F — for the banners, signage, and new feather banners.

•Lion Mike K — for planning and organizing the many volunteers.

•Lion Dan – for keeping track of our finances

•Lion Lee — for the communications.

•Thank you to the many volunteers who volunteered in total hundreds of hours of direct and indirect Acton Lions Town Fair time, including: preparation, planning, supplier and town discussions, purchasing many items, set-up, placing signs around town, social media, cooking, serving, parking control, finances, communications, clean-up, pack-up and more!

Tuesday, June 2nd - Acton Lions Tom Cates will discuss AI for Real Life - Taking Out Rocks, Adding Inches and Staying in Control.

Monday, June 1st - The Acton Lions Golf Classic was a success, thank you to all of the golfers, the sponsors & supporters, the organizing team (Jeff, Steve, Cathy & Gib) , Quail Ridge Golf Course and the many volunteers.

Please support the Acton Lions Golf Classic and the community in 2027, come play some golf, meet Acton Lions Club members, meet new friends and enjoy the dinner afterwards. We hope you can make it!

Tuesday, May 19th - Acton Lion Tom Fredericks will discuss the history and the operations at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford together with his work at Hanscom.

Saturday, May 16th - a few Lions donated their time to help out at House Hold Goods with some light-medium-heavy lifting and moving and some photos from 2024 and 2025
