VETERANS PARADE

The St. Cloud Lions Club will once again be staging the Veterans Parade on Sunday, November 5, 2017.  This typically involves about two hours of time, and is guaranteed to give you goose bumps and a great feeling of pride in our country.  If you can help out be sure to sign up at one of our October meetings, or contact chairperson Lion John Hotz at 252-9126.  God Bless America and our veterans.

PROPOSED DUES INCREASE

Would you believe that our last increase in dues was on July 1, 2006?  Needless to say costs have gone up since then, especially the cost of our meals.  At the September 28th Board Meeting, Lion Treasurer, Mike Phillips, pointed out that our meals, international and district dues, and miscellaneous administrative expenses (bulletin, post office box, envelopes, postage, etc.) amount to $36.60 per member.  While these expenses are subsidized somewhat by active members when they do not attend meetings, we are still in need of a dues increase. Lion Mike is proposing that active members pay $30 a month (currently $25), Husband and wife members pay $27 each per month (currently $24.19), and that privileged and at-large members pay $13 per month (currently $13).  If club members agree to these proposed changes, we hopefully will be able to go another 11 years without another increase?

A 90 YEAR THANK YOU

A huge thank you goes out to Lions Geri and John Hotz for chairing our 90th anniversary celebration at Coyote Moon.  A thank you also to Lion Harold Zosel for the use of his projector.
