2015 10k Run
Thanks to Pangbourne Rotary Club who successfully took over organising this 31st Annual 10k Charity Road Run held on Sunday 11th January. The weather on the day was windy, but dry and sunny which did encourage 125 people to register their entry on the day. There was a total of 374 runners who finished the run. Quite a large number of runners who had registered in advance failed to show.
Race winner was Mark Harris from Maidenhead in a time of 33 minutes 41 seconds and well ahead of his nearest rival Dan Blake from Witney Road Runners at 36 minutes 20 seconds..
Goring Estate Agent Bob Warmingham, was the main sponsor, the official starter and also presented the race trophies. Other sponsors were Halarose, and Bouchier Fencing, of Woodcote; Johnson Matthey of Sonning Common, and Peppard Building Supplies Limited.
The official photographer Denis Chapman has photographs of all runners available to download from his website www.denischapman.co.uk

Sponsorship monies are still being received, but this tough event is thought to have raised about £3,500 for the Rotary and Lions nominated charities, principally “Hope for Tomorrow” which provides mobile cancer treatment facilities.
