Meeting Summary - Mar. 12, 2019

  1. The Pancake Supper is Saturday, March 30.  We will need help on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. to set up the room and pat out sausage.  Saturday morning at 11:00 a small crew is needed to help at GBEMSchool.  Workers for Saturday evening should be at the Arbovale Community Center by 3:30 ready to flip.

  2. It is time to think about election of officers for next year.  President Suzanne, First VP Kay, and PDG Charlie will serve on the committee to present a list of potential officers. 

  3. There will be a cemetery cleanup on Tuesday evening, April 9, at 4:30 at the Arbovale Cemetery.  Regular meeting to follow that.

  4. At the April 9 meeting, Member Bob Anderson will give a presentation on his trip to Israel.

  5. Charlie and Carolyn gave a powerpoint presentation on Lions International.  They had a lot of good info for new members and a good review for longtime members.

  6. We have been asked to help with two baseball game concessions in April.

Lions Distribute Pork Rinds at Snowshoe’s Treasure on the Mountain

Durbin Lions Club member distributed 1000 bags of pork rinds to patrons of this year’s Treasure on the Mountain raffle held August 5th at Snowshoe.

The raffle (and party) took place on top of Snowshoe Mountain with food and drink vendors, live entertainment, and hundreds of festive attendees.

For the last several years the club has distributed bags of pork rinds at the annual event sponsored by the Snowshoe Foundation.

Lions provide 20 new folding tables to Green Bank Elementary Middle School for special events.
