LIONS CLUB OF YOUNG INC - SUPPORTED PROJECTS 

Donations through these events are returned to the community in the form of projects, programmes and donations.

Lions Club of Young Annual Quilt Show- showcasing the talents of our quilters from far and wide. Giving the community a way of taking time out from droughts, floods, bushfires and COVID. Happening on the weekend of 27-28 May 2023

Lions Youth of the Year Quest - encouraging young people from our local schools to showcase their talents in public speaking. These students can go on to represent their community, the zone, the district and possibly the state. District final on 11 March 2023

Diabetes Awareness - Lap the Map - raising much needed funds for Research by encouraging walkers to register and participate in a 5km walk. Also attending the information booths set up by medical practitioners giving advice on how to keep healthy and look after yourself.

Motor Neurone Disease Research - an annual fundraiser held by our Club at the Harness Racing event on 10 March, to benefit not only our community but Australia wide hoping to find a cure.

Young High School - Providing $1000 annually, shared between 4 indigineous students who show a willingness to excel and to assist with their education expenses.

Young Regional Conservatorium - Providing funds to cover 2 bursaries yearly to provide assistance to students in need.

Margaret House Young - Funding to provide emergency accommodation for people in need.

Senior Citizens Centre - Funding for white goods.

Linked with a Lion - providing a kind word, a cup of tea, a chat, keeping in contact with the elderly citizens in our community.

Riding for the Disabled - funding to assist with their oingoing costs.

Hilltops Wellness Day - Sharing this catering event with Boorowa Lions on 15 March 2023.

Harness Racing - catering at all events throughout the year.

Farmer's Markets - Catering, at all events throughout the year.

Bunnings BBQ - Catering and showing the fun that can be had at a Lions BBQ.

Firies Christmas Carnival - involved in supporting the Firies who share the profit with all community groups.
