Lions Club of Young

The Lions Club of Young Inc have been serving our local community and surrounding villages for the last 63 years.

We are very proud as we move into the 64th year with the support we provide to people in need, to make their lives a little bit easier and to help pick up the pieces where there is little hope.

Our club is very active and support different organisations throughout the year including local hospitals, Margaret House, Conservatorium of Music Bursaries, Riding for the Disabled, SES and not forgetting the small local clubs of Cadets, Scouts and Guides.

We are generally seen at local events such as Catering for Harness Racing, Farmer's Markets and Bunnings BBQ's. Our annual events include Youth of the Year, Lions Club of Young Quilt Show, Lap the Map for Diabetes awareness and the Peace Poster giving children an opportunity and awareness of world peace.

We connect with the older citizens through a project termed as Linked with a Lion where we keep in contact over the phone and enjoy a monthly catch up over a cup of tea.

Great conventions abound throughout our District with Young holding a very delayed but successful District Convention in February 2022.

Interacting with Lions clubs in our zone to assist on bigger events while also sharing comaraderie and fellowship

Lions are active. Our motto is "We Serve." Lions are part of a global service network, doing whatever is necessary to help our local communities.
