Exciting News from the Winnipeg South Lions Club!

We're thrilled to announce that Lion Joe Hardy is spearheading an incredible initiative to bring the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to Manitoba! 📚✨

As seen at the Mid Winter Convention in Mahnomen, MI, the Winnipeg South Lions are fundraising to stand up the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL) across the entire city of Winnipeg.  As you may be aware, the DPIL augments our Reading Action program by providing a free book to all children up to the age of 5 with a low cost of $3 per book funded through local program partners.  The Dollywood Foundation covers all administrative costs, including sourcing and distribution expenses to ensure all funds raised stay within the community they are raised.

Imagine being a child and getting so excited each new month because Dolly and the Lions are shipping a book right to you!  The childs name is personalised on each package and messages inside the cover from Dolly, herself.

Stay tuned for more updates on how you can get involved and support this amazing project. Let’s work together to inspire the next generation of readers! 🌟
